MEMBER AGREEMENT

Before joining our CSA, we ask that our members read and commit to the following statements. This is the Farm Policy, and it is what keeps the vegetable subscription service running smoothly.

I understand that Strike Farms will do their best to provide 20 weeks of fresh, certified organic produce and food goods.

I understand that I am sharing in the risks and challenges inherent to farming and that quantities and the timing of the harvest may be affected by adverse weather events, insects, equipment failures, etc.

I understand that Strike Farms is committed to growing the highest quality, certified organic produce. They do their best to be good stewards of the land by practicing crop rotation, using compost and cover crops to replenish soils, and by using biological and physical controls to mitigate pests and disease. Because they do not use pesticides and chemicals food goods may occasionally contain a bug or two.

I understand that Strike Farms, in order to promote storage and longevity, does not “wash” all food. It is therefore my responsibility to further wash and inspect produce before eating.

I understand that I must make it a priority to pick up my share in the designated time frame. Though Strike Farms grows high quality produce it will decline quickly if left to sit around.

I agree to bring another container to transfer my share into at each pick up. A grocery bag or another box works great!

I agree to sign in and to break down my box and store it with the other boxes at my pick up site.

I agree to respect the pick-up locations site and business hours.

I understand that if I cannot pick up my share that I must arrange for someone else to pick up for me. If unforeseen circumstances arise I must contact Strike Farms and they will do their best to accommodate emergencies.

I understand that any shares not claimed within the designated time period will be donated.

I understand that the success of Strike Farms vegetable subscription depends on my continued commitment and support throughout the 20 week season. Due to this payment is non-refundable.

I agree that if I chose the market bucks option that any credit remaining after the last farmers’ market of the year will be donated in corresponding vegetable amounts to a local hunger relief agency.

I understand that email is the primary form of communication for the vegetable subscription and I agree to open and read emails from the farm.

I understand that upon signing up I will be added to Strike Farms distribution list, which will send weekly pick up reminders and newsletters detailing crop availability, recipe ideas or other farm related news.
